Japan Devastated

On Friday 11th March 2011, at 14:46 (JST), a massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck 130km off the eastern coast of Japan. Within moments, the Japanese Earthquake Early Warning system, sent out warnings to millions of people. The earthquake triggered a devastating, and enormously powerful tsunami, and waves of up to 10 meters high, striking the coastline moments after the quake.

The effects were catastophic. Almost everything in the waves path was swept away... trees, cars, buildings, and people. Nothing could have prepared them for this.
